I agree, taking responsibility in regards to our current stressful moments helps you relax in the long run. It's assuring to believe you have everything under control.Seroney_ wrote: ↑25 Aug 2020, 07:31 We are responsible for our lives and so, yes! When stressed, I have taken a stroll on a quite route, away from traffic. I find playing my favorite sport also, as a natural anxiety reliever. Not to forget about stage fright, taking deep breaths a couple of times has calmed me down quite often

Part of being responsible for yourself is taking caution of what triggers your stress. If done habitually, you can prevent stress or anxiety from settling in.Nidhi_391005 wrote: ↑25 Aug 2020, 11:27 I agree with the author that we should take responsibility for our actions and decisions. By taking responsibility we would be able to manage our anxiety and stress more easily. We should remember that our life is just ours and we are responsible for the choices we make.

It's required that you take relentless efforts to be responsible, especially when it comes to people that you allow into your life. They can be contributing to your happiness or stress.Adanna Inya wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 14:33 Like I always tell some of my patients, "protect your peace, space, and mind.". Anxiety and stress begin from the mind. When that place is guarded, that's a step towards progress. You'll realize that you have taken charge of every decision you make, every person you let into your life, how you let people and event affect you, and your approach to issues. You get to do what you can and strive for better without beating yourself up about what you have no power over. You stop every step of the way to reflect because you're realistic and in charge of yourself. You do this, and you'd have managed to cut down stress and anxiety to the barest minimum.

I think the hardest thing to do is to accept you've made a mistake. Yet, it's the first step to resolving issues of stress and anxiety.Lhammamy wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 13:48 I think that as humans we always tend to blame life, circumstances, destiny, luck... etc, for every misfortune they live. The state of this continuous blame is what leads as to anxiety whereas having and understanding this responsibility about our lives and our choices will set us free from this endless circles of regrets.

I believe that it's an equal balance between taking responsibility for your life and realizing where you have absolutely no control of the situation (or the other people in it.) We cannot control the circumstances, but we are responsible for our responses to the circumstances.mpsmaster wrote: ↑08 Aug 2020, 06:53 The author encourage the reader to take full responsability for his life as a means for balance and anxiety relief. What are your thoughts on that topic? Do you know good exemplos that prove the advantage of this step? Have you take it in some areas of your life?
