It Is Time by Marie Renshaw is a non-fiction book containing advice from the author on life topics, such as success, family, society, and children. The writer utilizes a sophisticated, complex, and profound tone to explain her opinions and analyze her points.

The author starts this book by explaining the meaning of success, highlighting that it is wrong to achieve success on the backs of other people. She also states that it is time to begin forgiving and reconcile, realizing that every human is an imperfect being who must let go of bitterness, anger, and pain. The author also claims that people should start loving children unconditionally, giving them security and safety because children are society’s future. Furthermore, the writer stresses the difference between speaking and talking, as she signifies that it is time to speak life and joy so that we can encourage others. She also says that we must become aware of the power of our words, which can lift up or bring down the people around us. The author advises the reader to begin making a deposit of kindness, love, and virtue to other people’s lives, as we should not expect to receive these qualities if we do not reflect them.

This book had many wonderful and fantastic elements. For one, this book was professionally edited since I only stumbled upon two minor grammatical errors. Additionally, the author compiled this book logically, coherently, and rationally, structuring it in a way that made it easy to read. What I liked most in the text was that the author explored numerous profound themes, such as forgiveness, love, and family, thereby making the reader think after reading this book.

However, I met some negative characteristics in the text as well. More analytically, I found the book confusing in some places, as the author failed to adequately explain her opinions. What I disliked most in this book was that it was boring, as the writer used highly complex language, making the text seem monotonous.

This book is best suited for readers who like reading about themes related to everyday life. Parents and readers who have some experience with children will prefer this book, as they will appreciate the author’s advice about children. Readers of all religions can enjoy this book, including atheists.

All in all, I rate this book with 2 out of 4 stars. I did not give it a lower rating because it was professionally edited and beautifully compiled. However, I did not enjoy it enough to give it more stars since I found it uninteresting and confusing in some cases.

It's wrong to achieve success on the back of other people. A book that contains advice on life issues like family, will definitely excite me.

A very concise yet detailed review. Looks like the book is monotonous but I can think of a few people who would enjoy reading it. Thanks for the insight.

You explained the essence of this book very well. Self-help nonfiction books can be a hit or a miss for me lately. But I do find them more relatable when the tone is simple and easy to understand. Good job with the review!!
