I would certainly want to read this book, given the fact the the scenes are so vividly presented. Thank you for the review. 💫

Thank you for a very detailed review. It is catchy to prospect readers. I love how Jamsheed would get to deep water for his brother's sake.

Iran has a complex history, this book concerns some very dark parts of it that can be applied to many nations, even today. Thank you for your great review!

The sample of this book was very detailed, as was the review. Both sounded great! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the book for free per the reward page. Therefore, since I'm not a huge fan of this genre and couldn't get it free, or at a reduced price, I'm going to pass on this one.

Excellent review. This book is an interesting revelation of Iranian history and culture. Even though it is very violent and brutal, it does shine a light on the prisoners and their conditions.

Sounds like a compelling story, many readers will be able to enjoy this. I am not too much into political elements included in books, and explicit torture scenes are really not my thing, so I will give it a pass.

This sounds like an interesting read. However, exploring the torture and plight of prisoners would make me cry all through. Great review 👍

This book depicts man's cruelty towards his fellow man. Telling the story from the view of one of the perpetrators of the hideous crime makes it unique and gives the reader a view into the mind of such men. I must confess, this is an encompassing and well detailed review.

Jamsheed is only conscious of the regime's wrongdoings when his brother gets into trouble.

Although today's BOTD is not for me, I appreciate the awareness it brings to the abuse and torture that occurs in some prisons across the world. Fans of suspenseful, descriptive, and realistic scenes will enjoy this edge-of-your-seat historical fiction read. Thank you for the review; it was helpful and very well-written! :-)

I would have liked to know more about events in this part of the world, faint news of the change of regime and terror of a dictatorial regime did reach me at the time of the events.
As far as I understand, the book places the reader in the very middle of the "peace making" action and gets them acquainted with those who enforce it.
I also appreciate the narrative strategy and the idea to describe the events through the voice of a negative character.
However, I do not think I could bear to read about such terror and torture. Potential readers should read at least the review to understand how happy they are not to have been born in Iran (especially women).
Thank you for the detailed review!
