Sensitive topic. I wish she could have managed to save her daughter. I have to have this book. When it comes to this kind of topic, prevention is better than anything else. We really thank her for sharing with us so that we can try and avoid her situation.

Thank you! Yes, it is a sensitive topic, but imperative that everyone educate themselves on it. We never know when drug abuse will show up at our door so it is better to understand as much as we can ahead of time! I know this was a hard book for the author to write so I hope it saves lives! It is very unfortunate that the author had to grief her mother and her daughter within a short space of time. Writing the book will most definitely help those struggling with drug addiction as they will know exactly what they ought to do to stay alive.

It is encouraging for Elise Schiller to share her daughter's struggles with the world. She must be a very strong woman and loving mother determined to help people. I know the book is a great read but I would skip reading it because I will get too emotional. The review is superb.

Any Addition is not easy for the one that has the problem those that are close to them! I could identify with somethings like mental illness i myself struggle with depression have a daughter that has bipolar! The hopeless you may feel not able to help the person you love while dealing with your own mental illness! I like it a lot i understand that mental illness are real and it nothing you can just snap out of! I have a relationship with God that help me Get through! Not having a relationship with God is a chose! Not passing judgement on anyone! It help me to get through the hard and difficult times! Its a great book and it lets other know the realness of it!

So true that it is hard for the person who is addicted as well as those who care about them. Depression is a wide-spread problem and can cause a person to turn to many things for a little relief.
