As I am reading a book about addiction right now, this really resonates with me. Failures in the medical system don't surprise me unfortunately. I send good wishes to the author.

Thank you! It would be an excellent book for youth battling drugs. They would see a Mother's side of having a child who uses drugs. Thanks for commenting!

Thank you! Heroin use is a major problem, and not just in young people. Many adults have turned to using it too. This book show the effects of heroin addiction from the parents point of view, especially the Mom. Drug abuse doesn't just effect the user, it effects the entire family! When you read the book you will find times you get a little frustrated with the mom for missing some obvious signs. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I cannot even imagine the pain of losing one of my daughters...they are my life. I commend the author on sharing such a heartbreaking part of her life.

My greatest accomplishment is that I raised two daughters that love to read.

And especially loosing one of our children in such a tragic way! There is no good way, that is for sure! When drugs become a part of someone's life it doesn't just affect them, it affects the entire family! I know how you feel about your children, I would be devastated too! You're welcome. The one with the addiction is held prisoner to the drug, and those around them are held prisoner by the pain. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
