Such a detailed review. While it would be humorous to some, I think a lot would oppose the author's idea of attributing the name king Kong to a human.

I am sorry to have offended you. I cannot discuss the particular patient because it would spoil the book, but be assured that the author did not mean to insult the patient. The blame is on me.

I don't feel offended, I was only trying to weigh on the good and bad sides of it. I understand it was used to indicated a certain distinct attitude of the patient.

Oh wow the book sounds really interesting, but sadly a star had to be taken away due to the grammatical errors. They're such a turn off for readers. Great review!

I wonder why the stories were formatted as letters. Did it make the story-telling more personal? Like a friend confiding to a friend instead of a colleague sharing stories with fellow colleagues, say, on a coffee break? And yes, I agree. It would be interesting to have the replies from Jack. Indeed, the stories sounded more candid. I also presume Jack is not in the medical profession, so Dr. Crocker had reason to clarify the medical jargon in a friendly manner. Oh, and I just received confirmation that Jack is for real. So yes, Virginia, there is a Jack!

Just to be very clear, Virginia is (er, was) also for real. And she did ask that question about Santa Claus in 1897.

I've never read a story like this but wow the situations you mentioned must be daunting for the people involved! Adding humor to it seems like a good idea. I appreciate you mentioning the grammar errors as well. Great review!
