I love books that switch from different perspectives so this one was great because it did just that. I rated the book a 4 out of 4 stars because it was unique and very promising cant wait to read the other sequel.

I rated this novel a 3 out of 4 because it lacked closure. I realize the novel sets the groundwork for the future, but I believe there should be some closure in each book. Unfortunately, I was left with more questions then answers and was disappointed by the abrupt ending. I enjoyed this novel and found it both compelling and funny at times. I will definitely read the next one.
Hopefully, this is not a continuous theme, where nothing ends. I enjoy series, but I believe the books should stand alone as well.

This was one sci-fi and fantasy book I enjoyed. I love the way the writer wrote as though he was telling a story and also that each chapter had a topic that explain what is to be expected. I couldn't drop the book and I kept reading. I have read up to the book three in the series. I however gave the book a 3 out of 4 stars rating, because I dislike that Eldus Alderman the new Lord of Hillport had a brief rule even though he had great plans for Hillport. I believe is life was too brief, making is his story incomplete in my opinion. I will recommend this book to sci-fi and fantasy book lovers and anyone who loves a good story.

I really liked the book! I never got bored of reading and I’m impressed by the many characters Tysz managed to give a part of the story to. There were minor things I didn’t like, but it’s a good book if you like fantasy! I just started the second book in the series and I’m very curious as to what will happen now.

I have given this book a four star rating. This series is quite interesting and thrilling. I could not put the book down. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The concept of Cosmos and Caromentis is intriguing. I appreciate Matthew Tysz’s creativity.

I rated this book 4 stars. I really like the worlds the author created. My only dislike is that in the beginning it was overwhelming with all of the characters and sub-plots. Once I got my footing, the story flowed well.

I gave this book a 3 out of 4 stars. It is an introduction into the magical kingdom of Voulhire. The world buiding was really interesting, and the story seemed to have a lot of potential but the characters were a little flat for me. I couldn't bond or relate with any of them but I still keep in mind that this book is the first one of a pretty big series, so there will time to connect with them and their troubles in the next books.

This book was most definitely a great beginning to what will most certainly be a praiseworthy fantasy series. The plot, characters, and suspense were astounding. The potential for other great books in this series was astronomical. I gave this book 4 out of 4 stars because there was nothing that I disliked. Not only was the writing style fantastic, but the editing was also quite impressive. This series will be a favorite of all fantasy lovers.

I read this book ad I love it, I gave it a full rating because the author did a good job in writing a wonderful work of fiction. My favorite character is Galen and I like how the story follows the adventures Galen experienced starting from the war thorn land of the princes up till when he got to Voulhire. I actually disliked the naming of characters as the names didn’t suit me but served as a bit of distraction. The book was enjoyed by me and I would recommend it to my fellow sci-fi lovers.

I co pleated adored this book. I usually have a hard time with the first installments of a series of books because there's a lot of exposition and it usually becomes boring, but not with this one. The way it told the history of Voulhire and how it described the world was very interesting. It was very easy to imagine the life of the people in this place. I'm really excited to continue reading the series.

I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars even though the plot was not clear to me. I believe this to be because it is a part of the series and the plot will be clearer in the next book. The author did do an excellent job of describing the characters.

I like everything about the book; the intriguing plots and characters, but I mostly like Galen. He represents someone from a humble background that cherishes the good things made available to him. Although i think we were given some hint that Galen may not be as pure as we think he his, I still admire him very much, and am curious about his past. I give it a perfect rating because it is curious and interesting. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone that loves to read books in this genre.
