Great review! Zona is a fascinating land and I really like the idea of being able to communicate with animals.

I didn't realize that Grant was a professor. I think he was a worthy heir, going all the way to find his benefactor. Good book, Fred.

This book sounds so different than anything else I've read before. I'm actually very intrigued now, after I've read your review. The journey seems to be full of unexpected events and I would love to read it firsthand to see how it all plays out.

Your review is very informative and gives a good overview of the book. You’re ability to entice readers is obvious; you give just enough information to spark my interest. The interesting scenes from the book that you highlight in your review make me want to know more. This review makes me want to experience the “air of mystery and intrigue” in Zona for myself.

While reading, I just had this feeling that uncle Randall would still be alive somehow but I would have to finish up to know for sure. Grant started out well to be a decent man but it didn't hold true in the case of women.
Thanks so much for such a nice review.
Your description of Grants' expedition really encouraged my interest.

This book will keep you spellbound with all the mystery that enshrouds this story. Randall, An explorer, scientist and adventurer travels on many expedtions, but has never returned from his last destination. His nephew, Grant, has been granted his estate, but is not convinced his uncle is really deceased . Randall has an extensive library with meticulous notes of each expedition carefully recorded. Within the library, Grant discovers some hidden treasures, and is puzzled with the items he finds, wondering what his uncle was really involved in. A great book that I am looking forward to reading in its entirety.

From the review it seems that this novel is a perfect choice for readers who are lovers of adventure. Vivid descriptions and an insight into Russian culture in an added bonus.
