This book seems like it will be an enjoyable read. The author's analogy of a marathon race and the marathon of life was very enlightening. I appreciate your thorough review. I will have to add this to my to-read list.

It struck me that this book could serve two purposes: to be an autobiography to leave as a legacy to the author's family history; and to be an encouraging self-help book for readers in general.
What an interesting point! Honestly, I would love to have a legacy like this one from my grandma.
I usually don't go for self-help books, but your review is very compelling.
Thank you!

Thanks for the review!
I was intrigued by the beginning of the book because it was about completing a marathon, but I see what you mean about the lack of flow from topic to topic. The second chapter was quite different and lacked a connection to bring the chapters together.

I like that the author, when faced with adversity like losing her job, decides to move onto something she wants to do. Most people who lose their jobs become worried about money and how they'll pay the bills. She has a lot of courage. Thanks for the great review!

Although the name of this book seems misleading to me, I still think it's a good book.
Great review.

It sounds inspiring and helpful. The idea that the author offers her own personal stories, knowledge and expertise makes the book very relatable.
"You can be more aware and more present simply by resting in the present moment, open to all that is, without trying to control it or grasp it with the mind. Truly, a marvelous way of being!"

A nice, inspirational autobiography "There's a Rooster in My Bathroom!" by Trish Ostroski, which portrays how the author had led a full life doing service to others like advertising and community development. The book appears appealing to for me to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The first thing I noticed was the funny title of the book. I liked that author has out her vast experiences and life learning lessons in this book. But I'm really not into autobiographies so I'll pass this one. Happy BOTD!

What a lovely book. I enjoyed the story about the Los Angeles marathon. "Some lessons from the marathon that also apply to the marathon of life are to dedicate yourself and prepare for the journey. Make the most of it, and ultimately it is your own journey. " The author has a lot of good stories that are attached to life lessons.

Great review! I really enjoyed reading the Amazon review, which is the first several pages or chapters. What I liked was she only had to write 250 words for a review of a off-broadway play. How easy is that!!

This book is part autobiography and part self-help. The author tells of her interesting life, including time in the Peace Corp, and her desire to help others and find meaning in her life. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent and honest review.
