I wonder if it's just me or this book appeared like a children's book with its title and cover. I love the author's determination not to miss another opportunity again and would like to imitate such resolution. At times the flow of the writing was hampered; it felt more like a list of events happening one after another, and less like a cohesive story. Better transitions from one event to the next may have helped the book earn a higher rating.

The author has a very conversational tone to her writing. It's as if she's speaking directly to you, perhaps out on the back deck, telling stories. My favorite line referred to her participation on the LA Marathon: "Lose a few toenails, gain grand life experience." I love how the author is using her life experiences and turning them into life lessons! Reading the sample, the story did not seem very cohesive but I love her positivity and how she is trying to help others. I do not typically read self help books but I may read this one in the future thanks to your review!
