I would like reading about a different time period, in this case the '40s and the music culture then. Nice review.

Thank you for the great review. I have only read the sample, but found that very good and heart wrenching. I am glad to know a little more about what happens to Joey. I am adding it to my list of want to read books. I'm now anxious to read more with what all you described in your review.

I feel for Joey, having an abusive who care less and not supportive make life a bit difficult. I believe he'll make it. Great review.

Joey having to transform into a young man while trying to make his dreams of being a musician and finding love come to reality, turned out to be a rather tasking effort. It is a nice work.

What challenges through the years in Joey’s life as he pursued his ambition and desires are what make me look forward to digging into this novel. How love for music changes one‘s life is what makes me intrigued and excited to read this book. These are just two of the reasons why I will read this book: the others mainly because I love reading beautiful stories and I am amazed by creative authors who never stop giving us delight from their creative minds and bountiful talents in writing. Congrats!

The experience of Joey life growing up is common to many his age. The difficulty we face tend to embolden us to take the world head on. I'll be reading this book. Thanks for the review.

This book is such a breath of fresh air as it manages to not only captivate as but also gives us a glimpse into the life of a boy who shares immense love for music. It would be interesting to join Joey into his journey of fighting for music against all odds. Thank you for this well written review.

Poor Joey! What a dilemma in taking life decisions of utmost importance. The choice between the woman he loves and the woman that supported him financially. Also, the choice between his family limitation and his life goal of being a musician. A great book to make a delightful read any day.

Joey must have had a hard time choosing whether it's the woman he loves or it's the woman he is indebted to.

I don't think Joey's father understands the concept of parenting properly. But I'm eager to find out what became of Joey and John. Nice job.

As an upcoming music artist, i would say music gives motivation....I would also commend Joey for his perseverance in fulfilling his career despite all odds.
Thanks for the review.
