Absurdist fiction is a first for me.I had to quickly google it up and it has now caught my attention!

Would love to read this book: the title is quite intriguing too. Many thanks for the great review.

Wow! I like that magic bed. This book seems really interesting. I had liked to read this. Will pastor John know whether he found the true meaning of his experience with the magic bed?? Congrats BOTD!

This sounds like a very unique read. Not my typical genre, but I like the fact that you say there is humor in the book. Do you think this book makes a tongue-in-cheek poke at televangelists that get rich off the money their followers send in?

This book sounds interesting, I think I would like to find out, if John had really had an enlightening experience; or he just went mad. Thanks for the great review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting novel about a man that becomes a pastor and forms his own church made up of homeless folk. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

In real life, do we ever really know what the significance of a certain event is? And when we think an event has meaning, does it really? Or are we the ones who give meaning to that event? John goes to great lengths to discover the true meaning of his experience with the “magic bed”, and all the while, I could not decide on what I thought had really happened. I could not be sure that John had really had an enlightening experience; neither could I be sure that he had gone mad.
Nice review! It (the book) reminded me of the Disney film, "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" with Angela Lansbury. Or, I should say, a bad version of it, or what happens when something is misinterpreted. If such a thing happened in real life, that would be terrible - Someone was talking about the bed from a Disney movie! is what the guy should have been thinking! Strange thought! Perhaps he overheard a conversation, interpreted it the way he saw fit, and then decided to use it for his own (unselfish) purposes, and things turned out terrible.

I must admit, I had never heard of absurdist fiction, but I can see why this book would be classified as such. Thank you for an excellent review!

Wow this book is definitely creative and unique. I love the original plot, lately I have been reading books with recycled storylines so it's really refreshing to see something different. I like how the humor is skillfully interwoven with thought provoking questions. Great and thorough review!

Ok that definitely is absurd. Maybe a bit too absurd even for me. Sounds like you had fun, though!

I think I have never read a book of the absurdist fiction genre. I might sample it since it sounds so fascinating and still funny. The idea of a protagonist who is changed by a magic bed sounds interesting indeed. This novel seems to be pretty unique. Thanks for the review! Great job.
