:techie-studyingbrown: This novel is aligned with an Indiana Jones type of setting. Adventurous with a variety of characters with the common goal of finding treasure. The thrill of the hunt combined with the mysterious streak of danger that they all face.

This author certainly knows about suspense. The opening scene is quite a thriller, and the writing is captivating. Certainly one to put on my reading list.

The covers of Baldwin's books are always beautiful and colorful. The first thing that lets me know that those are his books. Besides, the plot sounds mysterious, the diamonds in the water, the pursuits, and the thrilling scenes. The genre of C/ T/ M/ H is one of my favorites, so I might give this a try. I haven't read the previous books, but since it seems to be a standalone I think there will be no problems. Thanks for the insightful review! Great work!

Relic sounds like a character who is a recluse but knows a great deal about what is going on. Too many tiny details in the review but it got me interested so I guess it's a win. Would love to find out what really was going down and this being a stand alone is appreciated.

Relic the "gin brewing recluse" sounds like the type of character I enjoy. This book sounds fascinating. I love that some humor is worked into the story. Thanks for the excellent review!

I haven’t read any of the books in this series, but they sound like they’d be really good. It’s good to know this can be a stand-alone book. Thank you for your thoughtful review!

Thanks, but I don't think I have any interest in this book of looting and pillaging; I really don't care about the mystery of the diamonds.

I have a feeling I'd love the gin-brewing recluse who has an accute sense of humor and is ready to help people in need. I'm also curious about Canyonlands National Park and the mystery surrounding Dylan's death. Count me in for this action-packed novel!
