An interesting book on a very contemporary subject. There are very few books that actually convey real-life stories of single mothers in a poignant and realistic manner. I am particularly interested in how the author manages to deal with existing stereotypes and create an emotional narrative.

Some daddies were absent, yet present. It gives me hope that not all men are wife-beaters, cheaters, or run-away dads.
Don't worry, they don't all are. My mom found herself raising us solo because my dad passed away. But he was an awesome guy. I guess there are a myriad of circumstances that can lead to this situation.
What a moving review! Thanks!

I think this book will be an eye-opening experience. Raised by a single mom, my opinion of dads are pretty negative; I hope after reading this collection of short non-fiction stories that I will have a different perspective. Great review!

I really appreciate the authors for doing such a wonderful job on this book. This is a must read for all single mothers out there, escape the ones that need a bit of encouragement to carry on as being a single mom is not a walk in the park. I really hope this book would be a source of comfort and strength to all single moms out there. Nice job on the review.

I am a child of solo mom and I got plenty of stories I lived through myself and heard from her perspective as well. Not all was happy and shiny, life is hard no matter family has all members or if some are missing, so I really don't need to strangers memoirs to influence mine to remember that simple fact. Congrats all the same!

A nice eye-opening book "We Got This: Solo Mom Stories of Grit, Heart, and Humor" by Marika Lindholm, Cheryl Dumesnil, Domenica Ruta, and Katherine Shonk. This book is a voice to those who are often mislabeled as single mothers. The book contains stories from single mothers who belong to different races, ethnicities, and communities. The book appears quite appealing to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Raising a child as a single mom is not an easy job. Women doing just that are inspiring! It is great that this book aims at encouraging single moms and letting them know that they are not alone. It's an add on that the book is well organized and has eye-catching chapter titles. Thank you for the thorough review.

Solo moms struggle and they can overcome whatever hardship they face because at the end of the day, they never have to do it alone. Great review.

This is a series of stories from different single moms about how they coped with the problems of single-parenthood. It is encouraging and emotional, showing that you can get through anything. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your wonderful review.

I have so much respect for solo parents in general, and women have had to bear the burden of the growing numbers for a long time. This sounds like a great book, telling some of their stories in their own voices.

Probably the only thing harder than being a mom is being a single mom, so it’s great to have this collection of accounts about the stories of various single moms and the obstacles they have faced. I may give this one a look. Thanks for the great review, That Reviewer. :techie-studyingbrown:

This book sounds like a great read and a lesson to those who don't know the value of our mothers. Respect to all single mums out there.

That's a really well put opening paragraph and good review all round. I would add that the book should be recommended to everyone, given the social nature of stigmatisation.
