Have you ever gone on vacation to relax your body and mind but unprecedented events occur? Inca, the Siberian kitty, keeps you glued to the edge of your seat with her escapades in Sri Lanka. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F Kristi is the seventh volume in its series. Even though it’s the seventh installment, its impeccable graphic descriptions and introduction make it viable as a standalone. Intelligence, togetherness, harmony, and friendship are among the themes that R.F. Kristi projected in this work.

Inca and her siblings tag alongside Mom to Sri Lanka for vacation. They’re captivated by the many goodies that Serendipity, the island of Sri Lanka, has to offer. They make new friends while undertaking the adventure. Their delectation is cut short when Inca and her detective squad learn that an antique sword has gone missing in a local museum. They decide to help recover the sword and uncover the offenders. Will the mission be successful? Who are the culprits? Seize a copy to discover.

There are numerous things that I appreciated about the book. One thing that stood out most for me was that the events are narrated from Inca’s perspective. Additionally, teamwork among children is a theme profoundly promoted in the book. The picturesque descriptions of Sri Lanka’s physical features like the museum and the beach were so vivid that I could design an image from it.

This volume is enhanced with stylistic devices like onomatopoeia; therefore, it is proficient as an exceptional teaching guide. R.F Kristi has done an impeccable job in character development. She has ensured that each character is dynamic, engaging, and approachable. There’s that one character that each reader can resonate with, especially with their personalities. Also, children can learn the aspects of togetherness and union from this installment and exercise them in their habitual activities.

On the contrary, the author employed a few sophisticated vocabularies that would compel young children to seek meaning from a dictionary. However, that would not deter him/her from enjoying this modern fable. This book is professionally edited since I did not discover a single grammatical error. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is a gem and a page-turner. It is for the above points that I rate this book four out of four stars. I recommend it to children between the ages of 8 to 14 years.

I agree with your assessment I the book. I also loved that it could be read as a standalone. I have read two books of the series. Kristi did a great job and I enjoyed your detailed review.
