This books seems interesting a combination of mystery and thriller, definitely worth reading. However, I’m not a fan of first person narrative but I would make an exception for this book. Thanks for the review.

You say british, I think Dickens which in my opinion translates dark realism. Description somewhat enforced my point, but even through I am most definitely not a big fan of harsh subjects I am certainly interested. Looks to me like this book is worth to be read. Thanks for recommendations!

Nice review. This type of book is right up my alley. The story of the private research facility is intriguing and I know I will enjoy the humor that weaves throughout.

This is my kind of book, so thanks for the great review and recommendation. A running thread of comedy in a crime book makes it alluring. I am so reading this.

I am looking forward into digging into this intriguing novel to find out the mystery of Westleigh Hall and how Philip will solve it. What’s with all the negativity around him? What is the role of the ex? His editor? These are just two of the many questions i am intrigued to find out the answers for! I just love the mystery/thriller/suspense genre partly because I would always know who is the culprit before the revelation in the end. Will I be successful again on this book? Or will it be my first failure? This doubled my excitement in reading this novel!

This sounds like an interesting book to check out. I enjoy a good mystery thriller though it sounds like it probably has a good amount of humor in it which keeps it from becoming dark. I think that for now I'll put this book on my to-be-read shelf and check it out when I can.

I loved the sample, and this review really got me interested! The author’s language is so casual and inviting. Winston seems like quite the character. I’m excited to read about where Philip’s choices and chance lead him. Additionally, I could use an exciting, funny read right now! Thanks for this captivating review.

Ha, that sounds great. Thrillers with comedy and humor are too rare - Preston & Child come to mind, but not too many others. Looking forward to reading it -thanks!

Mystery thrillers are an all time attention-grabber of mine. I like how the reviewer easily chips in the meaning of the book title in the review, it's quite helpful. Leaving other characters undeveloped doesn't go well with me, but perhaps it'll enable me focus on the protagonist's development. For the book to be given a four star rating despite this, it means the protagonist is a rather strong character. Thanks for the review.

Good review. Sounds like an interesting thriller. It always nice to see how other countries write and the differences in language. I’ll add this to my must reads.

Nice review, I sure loved reading this book as it was more of a comic relief for me. Philip's dialogues with his friend Winston was all this book needed to win my heart. Nice one

I would like to join Phillip in finding out why Logrum is being bankrolled by an American billionaire and protected by the British government. Therefore, the book's a must-read for me. Thanks for the insightful review.

Great job on your review!

I like a good crime mystery, even with some humor. I read some of the sample of this one and it just wasn’t catching my interest. That said I’m sure many will love it, just not my cup of tea.
