A mystery and a thriller, with a dash of romance, I'm sure. I life me the sound of the plot and the detail included in it. Not only about jewelry but also about pearls themselves. The plot itself sounds engaging and I am interested to see where the element of the mob, or organized crime, fits into it. I am fond of pearls, particularly, black pearls. Your review was absorbing and exciting to read.

A real estate agent who's also a thief. There are certain jobs that you would never consider the person to be a thief. Learning about pearls is an added bonus. This book sounds suspenseful as well. Thanks for your review!

Diamond and Pearls ~ is a Fascinating Tale Book of the lives of mobsters and the consequences which they would have to turn their lives around. It also points out the practical wisdom which can positively affect the future of an individual.

The Tale continues to reveal further about where pearls originated from, and there are different types of pearls.

Reading about the maintenance person working on the furnace, which was immediately followed by a burglary, reminded me of a similar situation in my local area awhile back. An exterminator, who had security codes to a large number of homes, shared them with an accomplice, who would then enter the homes during periods when no one would be home.

This is the type of story that I enjoy reading!

An interesting crime thriller "Diamond and Pearls" by Julien Ayotte, which focuses on several cases of home burglaries. Sydney Malone, a real estate agent living in Providence, steals a pearl necklace and a matching ring, which was worth $100,000. The premise of the story appears quite appealing to me.

Sounds like a good crime mystery! I shucked an oyster once when I was younger to get a pearl (was at a little souvenir/tourist stand in Hawaii), so the angle on pearls is definitely interesting!

I really like your review! The book seems so interesting. I kinda got the giggles when you wrote that the "crook" ends up working with and becoming friends with a retired detective. An exciting and intense moment in literature!
