It was a fast-paced reading. Light-to-read. You will learn more about pearl jewelry — genuine and cultured. I enjoyed reading this book because it's a common family story — an heirloom stolen by an intruder.

Novel contained crimes, mystery, and knowledge of diamonds & pearl. I found the author who created new genre story but the story line is encourage at middle up social genre. Absolutely the book just only for mature not for children's readers. Congratulations.

I typically enjoy crime and mystery novels and this book sounds interesting. I don't have much knowledge about pearls or diamonds or different types of jewelry so little factoids like the shape and color and texture affecting the price is interesting to me too. Great and thorough review!

I really enjoyed this review. The modus operandi of the thefts was interesting but the history of the missing pearls really gripped me. The thought of such a hard worker lovingly finding the perfect pearls for the special person in his life at great risk to himself is a greater story.

Diamonds and Pearls promises to be a very exciting novel. The book starts off in a fairly calm way and within minutes of reading, a robbery occurs and investigations are being conducted. Ayotte actually reveals a number of important lessons to the readers. One such lesson is that you ought not to trust strangers when they come into your home, even as workmen.

The first burglary that the reader is exposed to involves the stealing of an expensive pearl necklace. A brief history of how this said set of pearls came into being is also given. This fact causes the reader to wonder if this really was a random robbery or if it is somehow connected to the origins of the pearl necklace. Only time will tell.

The chapters are also short which is a plus as it makes the reading of the book that easier to achieve.

The only thing I know about pearls... is that I can't afford them. Anyway, I'm very much interested in reading the book. The review doesn't give anything away. I guess i'll have to read to find out for myself. Great review!

I like the way this book sounds. What do you do, catch your friend and put her in grave trouble, or become a failure in your job and possibly break the heart of the necklace's owner? I can't help but know the answer to that question.
