When Lions Roar by Karen Gruber is is suspenseful book indeed! Being a parent I could not image what the character Maggie went through, especially in a safari! Her going through the postpartum life can be rough for some women and for her to find her child is a thrill! Such a great book and I rate this 3 out of 4 stars.

Combining human and animal worlds gives me a Disney vibe, and I am a big fan of the series! Lessons in friendship and family further add to this ideal. Congrats to the author on BOTD and for the free copy! :)

The book seems to empower women. Animation is also an interesting thing in the book. Thanks for the review.

I would love to see how the writer managed to blend both Animal and human worlds. It sounds so unique and special. It must requires a great Amount of skill to pull off such a narrative. I will definitely read this book.

This book made me curious about Hannah's fate. After hearing about the calamity that had befallen the inhabitants of the Maasakai Kingdom, what did she do?

The immersive world-building the author has done makes for a compelling read. The addition of the viewpoint from the animal world will make the readers think about the parallels and differences of their society with ours. Thanks for the review.

Fistlty, I admire the author's writing style and the switch from human life to animal kingdom is awesome. I believe there are more lessons to learn from the book, and I will love to read. Nice review.

The synopsis had left me a little confused; the tag line mentions two women, but the synopsis only talks about Maggie. I was definitely surprised when I read your review and discovered the other "woman" is a lioness! I was not expecting that whatsoever!
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

This is quite an unusual plot - a tale of two women, one of whom is an animal. I am quite intrigued by this story.

This book is both adventurous and painful experiences. Abusive marriage is almost in every clan of the world due to gender differences and striving for supremacy in the home.

The review is quite interesting and genres make sense. Thumps up. :tiphat:
