What offer did David give to Trevor and his fellows that would earn them five million dollars? I will found out after reading The Millionaire's Cross by Sal Nudo. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD. Great review.
Books are beautiful.

How intriguing! I'm a fan of character-driven stories, but that does put a lot of pressure and importance on the characters being well developed and articulated to the readers, which it sounds like Alex's character may have missed some marks. Thanks for the review!

Wow, the plot sounds really intriguing and I'm excited for the chilling tone of the book. The moment I read the title I thought it was going to be a "how to get rich guide" type of book, I'm glad I saw this review and learned of it properly. Thanks for the review.

Hmmm, a cemetery setting for interaction? This is scary and I wouldn't attempt to engage in such no matter the amount involved. Great book. Congratulations.

The premise sounds intriguing! I love character driven books. However, the main character here seems to have some inconsistencies. Thanks for your review.

Just read the sample copy and I must say that this book is engaging. My heart started racing when I got to the cemetery part. I knew there was something unsettling about David. But of course, I'll have to read the entire book to know what happened.
Interesting story.
Beautiful review.

Two old sayings come to mind: "Never look a gift horse in the mouth", and "If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is."

I enjoyed the cold, miserable, State of Illinois setting, which helped to set the mood for the story. After all, how many of us have had to wait in a beat-up car, on a cold day, for a relative or friend to arrive from someplace, only to find out that they needed to go somewhere else. Happens everyday to someone!

Even though I have only read a sample of this book, I find that the plot is intriguing.

I must say that this book started off really fast-paced and to the point. This is a tactic that I can truly appreciate. The chapters are also short and the book is in the first person. As such, the reader feels as though he is on this adventure with the storyteller.

I am not quite sure what type of fantasy novel it is as yet though. It can very well be a mystery or thriller novel. Indeed, the reader encounters three young men. Two of them are brothers and the third man is the boyfriend of the younger brother. They are going through a town, it is snowing, their car stalls and an old, eccentric man comes to their aid. The three men are clearly trying to figure out who this man is as he makes them a seemingly "too good to be true" offer and his language is also quite archaic :?: .

Nudo does well in heightening the curiosity of his readers by introducing this old man so early in the novel. Perhaps this character has a hidden secret, hence the name of the novel "The Millionaire's Cross". Only time will tell.

This book will definitely be an enjoyable read. However, it may not be appropriate for all ages as there are some profanities in the book.

Money talks. The three lads fall into temptation. How will the deed affect their lives? Will the guilt and sorrow be worth the millions?

This book plot line sounds like a page tuner, but I do agree with your rating. I think that the book needed a clearer point of view from the author and his decisions throughout the story. I also like that the meeting with David was your favorite part because it certainly sounds like the glue that holds the story together.
