[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]

[rwc=id373763-125]4 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]“In this special kingdom, where all the tools are provided to build a perfect world, you will stand as a firsthand witness to what people do when they have no excuse to fail. This, my children, is the magnificent and terrifying kingdom of Voulhire!” An excerpt from We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies.

A young man is brought up in a world of war. Now he travels to a kingdom without war, Voulhire. He travels to a city Magnum Caelum. There he is given a blacksmith business from a great uncle he has never met. He will travel to this new home in Voulhire, and learn of a place that knows peace and prosperity. Once he arrives in the kingdom of Voulhire, he finds his home at Magnum Caelum and quickly befriends the executor Rowan. Rowan, with the knowledge of Voulhire, quickly takes this young man on an adventure to help him prosper in the black smith business. This young man is Galen Bray.

Throughout the book, we meet others in Voulhire. A king that is weighed down by leading the people of Voulhire. A new lord and his family that begin to lead a town fearful and scared of their past. A young mage that has much power, and does not only want to be a part of this world, but a part of another world. Each person has a goal, a mission, to help build a better place. Will they be able to fulfill their mission?

In the book, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies, the author, Matthew Tysz, does a great job introducing the kingdom of Voulhire. He switches between different points of view throughout the book. This novel was meant to be an introduction into the kingdom of Voulhire, and Matthew Tysz did a great job introducing Voulhire through the different perspectives of characters. There is plenty of action throughout the book that keeps the reader intrigued. Also, the ending leaves some mystery of where the story may go.

Although the book describes the mage and some of the things he has done, the author does not reveal much about the history of how the mage became so powerful. Also, the author does not provide much history of the Lands of the Princes, other than the princes are at civil war with each other. Voulhire is meant to be a kingdom that has no war and is a place for people to escape to from the Lands of the Princes, however, there is no back story on the princes, or the emperor.

I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars. There were no grammatical errors in the book. The book was exceptionally well edited. Matthew Tysz did a great job providing a story worth reading. I did not give this book a 3 because, although the author did not provide much of a back story for the princes and emperor, I hope to see more of the back story in the series of books. Also, the book has much mystery and keeps the reader intrigued. Altogether, I highly recommend people read this book.

I recommend people who like fantasy books, politics, and mystery to read this book. I would say that this book is a young adult book, or adult book. The book should not be read by children due some inappropriate humor, curse words, and graphic scenes within the book. Young adults the age of 14 or older could read this book.
