On the contrary, think it is subjective. Whenever you read it, you interpret what it says due to the morals that you hold to yourself. It is not done on purpose unless you manipulate it for your own good. It is impossible to be unbiased. I don't think they are even attempting to make the Bible a fraud, but rather question those who preach it and twist its meanings. The author is offering a different interpretation of the Bible, if anything, he is making a fraud out of religious leaders! No offense meant, I am just trying to offer a different way of looking at what the author is doing!!!
You are right, Maddie. At THIS time, the ethical values are dragged to prove them clean! The possibility of quoting Bible 'fraud' has no restriction then. Hope the majority respect the values.

...............the bible and its teachings has been accepted for many generations. But in my opinion, only because of being known for years .........
Right, Sushan. This is what is the positive side of that holy piece of script. That's why I said only "mere" attempts could be possible (with NO effect, though). :)

I say the answer is neither! There is no book that is superior to the Bible. When read often, and studied carefully while reading, one comes to the knowledge that the Bible is indeed the inspired Word of God! I am not talking about hurriedly reading through chapters and verses, I am talking about 'studying' the meaning of each verse. I, in no way, see this book as making the Bible a fraud. I see it as one person's opinion. Great question!
Scripture is meant to be studied. Each person will/ can glean from it what is pertinent to his/ her life. Different people will interpret it differently, and I see that as one of the reasons why there can be such a discrepancy between denominations today. Everybody can find something in the Bible to substantiate any idea; it all depends on the interpretation of a specific passage.

That is acceptable. Anyone can have their own opinion on religious scripture. But if there are too many interpretations, and some of them are deviations from the main core of the religion, is it a fault of the people, or of the way those things are written?

I don't believe the book makes the Bible a fraud, the author acknowledges the presence of a Supreme being. I believe the author tries to explain human influnce in even tainting the holy word. It is about having an open mind and being keen.

Not at all, because nowadays people use to practice false doctrine and there is no genuine doctrine than that of The Holy Bible.

Neither of these statements is true. The Bible has held its own against multiple attempts to destroy it. It describes mankind's beginning, why death happens, and how God has plans to complete his purpose for the earth. It gives us a glimpse into a better future. No other book can make that same claim. And since the author does not claim divinity, how could her book be superior?

Yes, the author's main idea has been to prove the presence of a supreme being and to reveal the truth about the universe. During his endeavor, he questions the biblical teachings which are apparently not going along with the main stream of the religion, but are some mere manipulations by corrupted authorities. So that parts, in my opinion, are actually fraudulent

Maybe you are correct. But the issue is that many of such doctrines are derivatives from the holy bible as they claim. So is that purely a wrong interpretation by such people, or is there something actually problematic with the core 🤔

Definitely the author's book is not divine. It is a result of comparison between science and religion, or between the bible and the scientific explanations. Since the scientific theories are proven, when it is considered from the point of the view of science, the interpretations of this author becomes more credible

It must be remembered that this is the opinion of one person only. I do not think it is wise to condemn the Holy Bible because one persons writes a book which highlights flaws or areas of confusion in the Bible.

The reality is that everyone reads the Bible and gets a meaning that is specific to him/her. If a person is of the Roman Catholic or other Christian faith and wants to read the Bible, he/she ought to be free to do so.

Of course, there is reason to question some parts of the Bible but I am not prepared to say that the present book under review, is powerful enough to classify the entire Bible as a fraud.

We don't have to jump into conclusions. Not even the author has done so. Yet he has mentioned several flaws of the current version of the bible. So what is wise? To accept the author, or the bible, or deny both and have our very own interpretation?

The book is more questioning religious leaders rather than the Bible itself and how they manipulate the teachings that are in the Bible. I don't think it claims or even tries to be superior to the Bible. But as the book can be taken out of its Christian context and into other religious contexts, I think it is really clear that the fraud claims are towards leaders not scriptures, because many different religious scriptures make the same claims, not just the Bible, but most leaders manipulate them. So yeah, I don't think it's making a fraud of the Bible and neither is it superior to the Bible, and the Bible is no more superior than other religious scriptures, if you look at it objectively.

If I wish to be unbiased with my reply then in my opinion the answer would be Yes. There are many factors mentioned in the book that gives reference to the different versions of the Bible and hence it my answer is Yes.

I don't think that it defrauds the Bible, but rather, this book shows that the opinions of humans vary regarding it. The Bible is over 2,000 years old, so it is entirely possible that translations of languages and time affected it. I am a Christian if this helps.
