First reading the title of the book gave an impression of it's going to be "one of those books" which never truly explained how things are but try to manipulate. However on reading the first few pages and the review, I realized it's a really great book. Well explained, detailed and simplified book.

A great way to teach children about thunder and lightening in simple scientific terms.

This book on thunder and storm really sounds informative and uses simple language that can easily be understood by children. It put out fear from little minds especially when cloud are gathering. Thanks for the review.

I have never been afraid of thunder or lightning, even as a child. Living in South Africa where we have violent thunderstorms and one of the highest concentrations of lightning in the world, it is often very beautiful but frightening for visitors, especially to the region where I live, where many people are killed by lightning. I understood its true nature from a scientific point if view, from a very young age and I think this book sounds excellent for it's realism. Children can only benefit from this kind of approach and I hope that other things can also be explained in thus manner. Your review was extremely clear and interesting to read.

The book has a great premise. Considering the propensity of adults to concoct ridiculous stories to explain certain things to children, I appreciate that it gives a scientific explanation for thunderstorms.

This book clears the doubt on some of the make-believe stories we use to hear as kids. It would be a relief on the part of children to learn this truth. Parents can as well take advantage of this book to relate with their kids on an intimate level. Congratulations BOTD.

It's nice to find books such as this one, to help parents ( or any other relatives) explain to kids about theses matters, in easily understandable terms.
There's always been much mysticism behind the forces of nature, true. Imagination is important also, but kids deserve to be tought about the forces of nature as they really are so they can understand and grow without fear. :tiphat:

Wow! What an amazing children's book. The author did well to be able to explain, in plain terms, the concept of thunder and lightning for children to understand. It will surely help answer some of the questions kids can ask.
Thanks for your recommendations.

This sounds like a very nice short story for kids and also for English language learners. Explaining something that seems hard in an easy fashion is always a good thing to achieve. Thanks for your review. It was very clear.

I agree that adults should avoid made up stories as much as possible especially when explaining things to children. I like that it contains illustrations and the characters are relatable. Nice review.
