Looks like a really lovely book for children. Because when we're kids there's nothing more scary than loud thunder in the middle of the night.
Congratulations on BOTD

I like children's books as they always simplify whatever they are trying to explain to kids. In my opinion the nature of storm and lightning is pretty difficult to explain and I wonder how the author managed to accomplish that. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This is a really nice book for children. The reality is that many persons are afraid of thunder and lightning. You can thus only imagine how terrifying these are for children.

In this book, a very simple explanation is given to children on what causes thunder and lightning. This explanation enables children to fully grasp the scientific reasons for these two forces. It is a very short book with lots of illustrations. These two factors keep the attention of children as well as prevent them from becoming bored with the story.

I highly recommend this read for all children who are terrified of storms.

This children's book sounds great. A lot of kids fear thunder and lightning since the loud sounds and the clarity can be frightening. This book seems to explain the science of those events in a simple manner. I think this novel is a great choice for all the children. Thanks for the beautiful review! Great job.

I always love how creative authors are when it comes to writing children's books. I never thought about a book that explains thunder and lightning, but it is a very good idea. When a child hears thunder, lightning or both for the first time it can be a scary experience for them and that won't understand that there is nothing to be afraid of.

I like how the author chose to explain thunder and lighting in simple terms. As you said, children are smart and they tend to grasp things easily. I believe this book will help them in understanding what happens in storms and help them feel at ease.

Many thanks for the detailed review.

This sounds excellent! As a child I was very afraid of thunder and lightning and many nights my father explained to me that there was nothing to be scared of. This book will be so useful to explain the science to children and help parents get their fearful children to sleep. Thanks for a great review.

Yes, this is definitely an excellent book for children; just wish that it would have been around when I was a child, while my mother was running around yelling and screaming. She was so afraid of thunder and lightning that during a bad storm, she would herd all of us together, get us into the pick-up truck or car, and drive to the nearest overpass or underpass to wait for the storm to pass over.

One of my first memories is watching thunderstorms with my Dad. He never made up stories to explain it to us; he explained it in what I now realize was a simple, age-appropriate way, just as the book does. Because of this, I have never been afraid of thunderstorms. Hopefully, this book will help many children in the same way. Thanks for the review!

Children books are one of my favorite books to read. A lot of children are terrified of lightning and thunder. Heck, even adults are scared. This book helps us all control our fear of lightning and thunder with facts made simple. J D schmith did an awesome job.
