I share your feelings! Sometimes the things that really happened are harder to stomach than fictional stories. The author's research enriched this story. Thanks for your insights!

Despite being in despair, I'm impressed Victoria still had her humanity on. Who know how long she can keep helping these polish women and their children? Great review.

Historical fiction is a good way to learn more about these backgrounds and settings. The author's research enriches the story with many interesting facts of what happened to these women. Thanks for your comments.

It is sad that Victoria had to endure suffering at the hands of this book's villains. Thank you for such a thorough review.

It is so shocking how humans can be so cruel to each other just on the basis of race and nationality. The review is amazing.

I don't usually read historical fiction set around World War II. This seems like a really heartbreaking story. I can see the author being influenced by real-life facts about that time period. Great review.
