This review has convinced me to read this book. Lily's character seem so amazing. The whole book seems very interesting. I would really like to know if Lily found her mom in this book.

Will Lily's dream of being reunited with her mother come true? How did James' punishment on Lily alter her life, and what was the punishment? I look forward to reading this book. Congrats on the BOTD.

Thank you for this insightful review, I also don't like inconsistencies in a book it throws you off and breaks your reading momentum. Well done with your review :tiphat:

The storyline intrigues me and Lily sounds like an interesting character that would help pull me into the story. I don't like the "accent" change that begins to happen with the characters, but hopefully I can push past that and be able to truly enjoy this book.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting romance novel about Lily, a young woman who was sold into slavery, but found a propensity for playing the piano. Her close friend who happens to be her "master's" son threatens her after he learns of her piano skills. Will these two fall in love or will their status affect their romance. While I am not a fan of romance novels, there are likely readers who will want to give this book a second look. Well done.

"The Prodigy Slave, Book One: Journey to Winter Garden" by Londyn Skye - Lili, a slave, is taken from her mother in a brutal fashion and sold to a bully of a man. She helped his aging female slave keep house, and becomes the housekeeper slave when the older woman dies. The story is gripping and a very good read. Thanks for the specific review.

The main character Lily is fascinating. She is ripped from the arms of her slave mother to be sold at an auction. Lily seems to be an inspiring character who will fight to fulfill her dreams and reunite with her mother. This story seems like a good option.

Emotional reads are my favourite. To be ripped from your mothers arms, what emotional turmoil. Thanks for reviewing.

Although I enjoy historical fiction, from what I've read so far I'm not sure I would enjoy reading this one. I appreciate how descriptive your review was.
