This book sounds so touching and emotional. Also, I like that it seemes focused on the characters, which are also very diverse. I can't wait to check it out.

There are three vices that get me emotional: terrorism, sexual abuse/murder and child neglect/abortion. This is just one of them. It is astonishing how people lose feelings. I cannot read much of the book as I get emotional due to the incidences in the book. But I can recommend the book for lovers of thrillers .

"A Child Left Behind" by Phil Hutcheon - A gripping story about an abandoned baby. The baby is at the center and the story is about all the people who are impacted. Full of interest and unexpected twists and turns. Thanks for the wonderful review.

The themes in this book: child abandonment., abortion, and adoption are touchy and of societal relevance. The blend of the array of characters with different traits makes for a good read. Congratulations BOTD.

One particular controversial topic, acting as a golden thread to tie a number of issues together. Using different characters, and themes from real life events, this is a novel way of approaching these difficult issues of life in today's society. I feel that many of these issues have probably existed before, in the past, but have not been able to be discussed as openly as today. I like the range of characters in this book and the topics sound very interesting. Your review was very comprehensive and mirrored the theme of the book very well.

Touching on some very sensitive topics but very careful not to betray the readers interest. Nice review, thanks.

I must say that while the review was quite entertaining to read; the idea of different stories full of controversial topics as immigration, drug use, and the abandonment of a baby in a bathroom made me interested in reading, however, the emotional roller coaster what awaited me did not come for me, the first pages of the book were not interesting enough to capture my attention beyond the first 20 pages.

The book focuses a lot of abandonment, abortion, and adoption. It has a meriad of unusual characters, including an illegal immigrant waitress studying to be a doctor.

I am not surprised that this book was written by a professor because the way that the book is structured makes me think of a critical thinking course in college. I also like that the author was not afraid to explore controversial subjects and opinions in this book. The cast of characters are very unique and make the book an interesting read.
