Have you ever wondered what your body is comprised of? Well, the body system consists of organs. The latter is composed of tissues, which are constituted of many cells. Cell Biology For Babies by Dr. Haitham Ahmed seeks to enlighten kids about the composition of the cell.

The cell is the smallest building block of life. It is powered by mitochondria, which makes energy. Proteins are manufactured by ribosomes and then packed by Golgi bodies into containers called vesicles. The endoplasmic reticulum moves proteins to and from the nucleus, which stores unique genes that you got from your parents. The cell requires getting rid of waste. Lysosomes facilitate the elimination of waste products. Where do all these parts live? Did you know that the cell membrane protects the cell parts from the outside world?

The Cell Biology For Babies is a short read. Unlike most scientific books, it deploys a simple language, which makes the information fathomable. I loved most the graphical presentations in this read. They provided an idea about what the cell incorporates. It also makes the book memorable. On every page, one part of the cell is brought to light. To make the reader aware of what is being addressed, the author uses a different color to illustrate the section under discussion. At the end of every illustration, the author poses a question to the reader. It makes the book very interactive.

I strongly recommend this book to children under ten years. It is also suitable for adults who need to remind themselves of the structure and functions of the cell. Moreover, parents and teachers can utilize it to teach children. I did not notice any grammatical errors, and I presume it was exceptionally edited.

There is nothing I disliked about this book. I commend Dr. Ahmed for crafting such a beautiful book for kids. Based on its educative and informative nature, I wholeheartedly rate it four out of four stars.

I also love the graphical representation of each discussed cell component when I read this book. This book is truly a gem for kids to appreciate science.
