I love that this looks short and sweet for a crime book. However, I am a bit turned down by the errors. Maybe I will check this for holidays and see how it works. Thanks for your review.

This sounds a bit like a Hallmark mysteries movie, which isn't a bad thing! I'm glad you enjoyed it and hopefully it will be proofread and updated soon.

This sounds like an interesting mystery novel. Rarely do you find one with no foul language or sex. I'll have to give it a try. Congratulations to the author for writing this book chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

I have just read the sample and I'm intrigued by what happened with the uncle. Too bad they were that many errors. Maybe they will do another round of editing. Great review.

This story does a good deal more telling than showing, and would likely benefit from more description of things such as the environment and characters. However, given it's a mystery novel it's possible those were subdued for this reason, though given the number of spelling errors it's also possible the writer was unpolished. Nothing that can't be undone with further editing/improving one's writing skill however- congratulations on BOTD.

"Bad Karma" by Debi Chestnut - A great read, and a thrilling mystery written so we can all identify with the circumstances. I like Uncle Freddy from Zoey's remembrances of him. Zoey is strong and intelligent. Thanks for the review, it was informative.

I sometimes enjoy reading fast paced clean stories. Crime thriller stories are notorious for having a notion of violence. I do not mind it most of the time though it is nice when you can find a book that is. It is a shame that it wasn't better edited.
Thanks for your review. :tiphat:

This sounds like a mystery crime book I would actually read. The lack of graphic scenes makes it appealing to me. I hope the errors get fixed.

I think you make an excellent case for your rating. I wonder, however, if you should read this genre and not expect graphic content.

The suspense on the death of Zoey's uncle's death draws me in. I wonder if Zoey can help in exposing the circumstances surrounding her uncle's death. Nice review.

From the portion, I have read it seems to be a great crime thriller .sleeping pills found in the bathroom cabinet, which are usually left on the side table, found dead in the bath when he only took showers. A mysterious package delivered to Zoe on the death of her uncle seems more than accidental. Personally, I think the cat had something to do with it but I could be wrong. All in all an intriguing read. Thanks to the author
