"where you have an arrogant king, a throne that lacks an immediate heir, tribal discrimination, and seductive women, each working an angle."

You just summed it up, Rashfordmbe10.
Humans will always be humans regardless of the planet. They start jostling for preeminence once they smell the likelihood of a chance. This book is a conversation starter. Fantastic review by the way.

Wow this book seems like it has a little bit of everything. I loved GoT so I’m sure I’d enjoy this book as well. Thank you for your thoughtful review!

The fact that there's drama, crime and action in one book is evidence this is a page-turner. These are a lethal combination. Good job on the review!

An interest book. I found it a but confusing but eventually started to understand and enjoy it. The character of Andreas Marset is well developed which made me look forward to seeing the end.

I have read The Hand Bringer by Penington and I have to say that he never disappoints romance-wise. This book sounds intriguing in its own way too. I feel like the protagonist is a survivor and I like characters that seem to overcome anything that comes their way, although their personality is at odds with their survival chances.
People who read are hiders. They hide who they are. People who hide don't always like who they are.

I love your review, and the book sounds incredible, but I think I'll give dystopian societies in books a pass. At least for now.

Your review is beautiful, but I'm done for a while reading books with savage leaders. I may get to it because the concept sounds interesting, but the dystopian world turns me off.
