I like the premise of this story, with a detective suffering fatal consequences for getting too close to a cold case, and his niece needing to pick up the pieces without meeting the same fate. It's a shame to hear that the current state of the book has a number of errors in it, but there's always hope of improved editing in the future. :)

Zoey seems like a strong lead character who can carry the mysterious plot without me losing interest. Despite the errors, it's good to know that the rest of the book is as good a crime thriller as any. Thanks for the great review!

I love the cover art, and the plot seems like this story is right up my alley! I'm curious to see how Zoey gets to the bottom of the case. The errors are a pity, though; I hope the author gets them removed. Thanks for sharing this review.

From reading the sample, I’m almost more interested in Zoey freelancing as an information professional, especially when she gets hired by the FBI, but it’s also interesting to see her use these skills for a more personal agenda. I hope that the author develops Zoey’s relationship with her uncle well, too; it would be a shame to see her to go to these lengths to solve his murder without finding out what made their relationship special enough for that effort. Thank you for the helpful review.

The plot sounds quite interesting. It's sad there are so many errors hope the book goes through a round of editting. I still want to read this book.

This sounds like a great suspenseful read with a realistic central character. I would love to sample this one and see whether Zoey could solve the case on her own. Thank you for the detailed review.

Thank you for this review! It is detailed enough to help me in deciding if I'll purchase the book or not. It's sad to see that an otherwise book with a perfect rating is rated lower because it has more than ten typos/errors.

Keeping the errors aside, i still think this is a good book because the language is simple and the narration is good. The plot is not solid enough but that doesn't bring down the books overall rating. A good crime novel.
