This book seems to be a great guide for business people.
Nonetheless, it's not my ideal cup of tea.

Through this book, the author attempts to guide business owners on exploiting the gems in marketing he learned from studying the great Walt Disney and his empire. I think this would be a good read for intending and current business owners. I look forward to reading it as well. Congrats on the BOTD.

I think that using Walt Disney as a reference point for running a business is well thought out since the Disney brand went from being local to global. Disney is also the master at marketing their products and creating hype around anything that they create no matter how expensive it is for the consumer. I like that you reviewed this book as a small business owner seeking to enlarge your customer base and ultimately make your business successful.

Getting job marketing tips from a great businessman is something college students on up the ladder can benefit from. Walt Disney built an empire and made a name for himself with audiences ages one on up. Great review!

Personally, I think it was Walt's product that was so innovative and magical that caused it's initial success and not his skills as a businessman. However, I'm sure that the industry that he built up over time certainly used business and marketing techniques that are radical and innovative. I'm sure that this book certainly contains a lot of valuable hints and methods. Of course, as a writer myself, I'm not too sure whether I'm very impressed about the current Disney enterprises as they have been involved in some controversial activities concerning the payment of royalties to poor writers. Nevertheless, they are a corporation that has been responsible for magic in entertainment over the last century, almost. An interesting and concise review about business methods outlined in the book.

I don't think I can give valued opinion concerning this book, because I have very little understanding what this whole entrepreneur business is about. But I did like how reviewer outlined fine points of book, even if I never will be able to use this knowledge. Congrats on BOTD all the same!

Sounds like a great read, even for those who aren't fans of Disney.

The thought of creating a "magical" experience for customers reminds me of part of the training I received when I worked in a customer service call center. What I got out of it was that you should always do much more than expected for customers and wow them by how much you care.

Thanks for a great review!

"Walt Disney's Way" by Andrew Lock - Andrew Lock writes a clear, easy to read and assimilate book of ideas based on Walt Disney's business model. He contends that it is suitable for small businesses. Thanks for an equally easy to read and assimilate review.

It was, indeed, a good idea for the author to take Walt Disney and his company as a model for his own business, and also to share what he learned and verified with prospective entrepreneurs and students of business. As the reviewer noted, the important idea is to adapt the WD model to the specific business the reader is running.
The review identifies the strong points of the book and the lack of weak points.
A great book and a great review, thank you!

It's nice to be able to see the way in which Disney was able to start and how it became so successful!
