I cringe to think of a world where water is controlled by one company. I'm glad for strong character development, without it storyline would be hard to finish. thanks for your brilliant review.

I agree that Tameem has exemplary character development approach, which captivates a reader and indulges them in the storyline.

A story about controlling the population and world resources looks thought-provoking and timely. I wonder how it affects the planet and humanity. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have never looked forward to something delightfully, not even to the arrival of Santa Claus. It tells a lot of the present book and the effect it has on readers, at least the reader who reviewed it.
Personally, I prefer to surf with ease through the pages of a book, but then again, perhaps going at a slower pace is worth it in this case.
I hope the woman manages to save her unborn babies.

This sounds like a very engaging read. Climate change is such a relevant topic for modern society, and exploring human motives is always interesting. Tameem is an exceptionally talented author, and her world building and character development is truly excellent. Thanks for the great review!

An interesting futuristic novel that explores some pertinent issues such as shortages of commodities and population control. This would make gripping reading for fans of this genre.

This is a great plot line. It also makes you wonder about the future of natural resources in the future and this story puts a really intriguing spin on it. The company in charge of the water sounds like a typical unscrupulous conglomerate and I am interested to know if they are toppled. Thanks for a great review.

The plot of this book is all over the place but shows a true meaning of power of love and determination on how to survive in world full chaos and scarcity.

The book starts off like "Brave New World, with the fetuses in artificial wombs, which are kept at 'perfectly' optimum performance for the fetus to grow in. But they've given it a twist, making it unique. I know what I would do if I were Susan. The Forge Corporation would never have the chance to get anywhere near my children. I'd head for the desert and the outliers. If they can survive out there, then so can I (she) - babies and all. But I'm extremely curious to see what Susan and her husband do. This one is already on my TBR shelf! Thanks for the very descriptive review.

The plot sounds intriguing, resource war, especially water is a very real possibility. This book seems like a what if kind of situation, making it a captivating and yet scary read.

Tameem sounds like she does a very good job with her editing (based on this and reviews I have read for her other books), which is very nice. It also sounds like she picked an interesting and relevant subject to expound upon.
