Penny Parker gets to be Marilyn Monroe's assistant during the filming of "Some Like It Hot," and her life is changed forever. This sounds like a historical fiction novel mixed with a romance. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

This novel was entertaining and the main character was so lovable! The author did agreat job of giving Penny (the main character) a strong voice. I didn't give five stars for personal preference: I felt the story was a tad bit predictable but I still enjoyed the story very much. It was a quick, entertaining read and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of historical fiction looking for an entertaining novel.

I feel like I know a lot about Marilyn Monroe. However, I'm glad that this is not about her life but how she affected another person's life. I imagine it was quite inspiring and interesting. Great job with the review.

It is refreshing to know from your review that Marilyn is not the main character but Penny, who was chosen to be one of Marilyn's assistant. Thank you for your detailed review.

I am disappointed to learn that Marilyn Monroe is not the main focus of the book. I enjoy reading books about her. Thank you for your review.

I am a sucker for romance book's, and I think I'd find Marilyn Monroe's life in Hotel Coronado, during the production of the movie, interesting. Congrats on the BOTD.

The method of making reader to explore the whole story impressed me. Good to read but somewhere I feel I felt it was going below. Although leaving aside everything it was quite impressive one specially finding out Marilyn is not the real focus.

Intersecting, in somewhat roundabout way and quite conflicted. My main objection - while not making Marilyn Monroe main character, it's anyway feels like speculation on her name and I personally don't approve of such abuse of someone else fame. Sorry, I will have to pass this one.

I like how the book’s main character is Penny Parker. This move from the author makes it different from other books in a good way. And according to the review, this book is a great read! Congratulations on BOTD

It is striking that, despite the title, the protagonist is not Marilyn Monroe but another girl who was lucky enough to be chosen as her assistant in a film. Historical fiction and romance are an interesting mix.
