Miss Penny Parker is the go-to girl for Marilyn Moonroe for a couple of weeks. They became form friends and we see Marilyn through the eyes of Miss Penny Parker. Great concept to make a fiction of a real person. This is the first of a series doing just that. 4 out of 4 for this excellent work.

Am surprised that Marilyn was not the main characters, then this book must be very unpredictable. Otherwise congrats on BOTD

I was very excited about reading this book that was about facts and friction based on a history and the number of pages doesn't matters upon an attraction towards it.

The review has been well summarised. One gets the total gist of the storyline of the book and at the same time fascinates one to read the same. I feel a well written review although with some spoilers of the storyline hooks the readers to read the book eventhough they are well aware of the background sketch of the story. The review makes me curious to pour myself to the depth of the book and to read it at the earliest.

This historical fiction sounds like a nice one. I like it that the author’s style of writing is simple and easy to understand, and that the book has masterfully developed the characters. Congrats on the BOTD!

I haven't read a lot about Marilyn Monroe so this will be an interesting snippet on her life story. The way in which the story is told (from the perspective of someone other than Marilyn) will provide the reader with a unique perspective on her character and personality. Thank you so much for the honest and insightful review! Happy reading :techie-studyinggray:

MY FRIEND Marilyn by Christopher Lentz is a story of a fat girl who meets Marilyn Monroe and they become friends. There are many aspects of this story. I enjoyed it a lot. Congratulations on #BOTD.

This sounds like a delightful story. I may have to check out this “good piece of historical fiction packed with a mild dose of mystery and romance.” Thanks for the recommendation!

While this sounds like a different, and interesting peep into the working life of Marilyn Monroe, it is not really a subject that interests me. The reviewer notes that the ending is rather abrupt. I wonder why. I may just read this to find out.

I think this book sounds promising and very interesting. It would be nice to explore different aspects of a character such as her. However, this does sound a bit long. I think to give it a go, you need a bit of time. Thanks for your review.
