Looks like Clint got into some trouble with the cartels. I'd love to know more about his story and other events in the story that contribute to his character development. Crime and mystery genre is one of my favorites and I'm looking forward to enjoying reading this book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

The plot seems multi-layered which will keep the readers on their toes. Despite the complexity, the author still managed to pull off a fast-paced novel which I think is a brilliant feat. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I had as much fun reading this review as did the sample pages of the book. I will definitely be adding this thriller to my reading list.

Clint sounds like a very complex character. I'm not sure how he will manage it, but I wish him luck in balancing his illegal and less...savory activities with the more positive facets of his personality, such as loyalty and philanthropy. Excellent review!

:| It sounds like Clint has a lot on his plate. I'm not a fan of Crime or Crime novels in general. But the fact that there a other themes in the book other than crime like family problems and sibling rivalry makes me feel like giving it a chance.

I'm extremely interested in this book because of the morally grey character, especially because I feel like these types of characters are more realistic. You have written a fantastic review and I can't wait to read the book because of it

Thank you so much for your very well written and highly informative review. You made this book sound so intriguing and a must read!!
However, before coming here, I had read the first chapter as my sample pages, and I just can’t read a book with that type and that amount of foul language in it. Especially the 4-5 word in at the beginning!?!🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️☹️
But you did a great job of showing us the rest of the book!!

I agree that it has cinematic appeal and, indeed, that is probably the only medium in which I would like this genre.

This book isn’t my style, but I can see how it may appeal to readers who like crime thrillers. It’s also great that it had such great editing. Thanks for a nice review!

Sometimes I wonder what people who make a living in the crime world thinking about how suddenly life can be taken from them. Clint Kennedy sounds like a perfect example of this situation. I'd love to see if he ever makes it back to Mexico.
