I applaud John Wamsley for his efforts to sustain Australian wildlife in their natural habitat. As a fan of memoirs, I believe this book is one I should read. Thanks for the encouraging review!

An interesting mix between a boy who's childhood was hard, a man who grew to love nature and his super math brain.

Hey, this reminds me of Crocodile Dundee! I was lucky to see kangaroos, albeit from afar, the only time I was in Australia. It would be wonderful to see them with their kin in their natural habitat. Keep them wild and free, John!

I admire people who work with wildlife, especially those who work with Australian or African wildlife (kangaroos are cute but can be scary aggressive). Of course, I’d rather face the animals than the government officials and changing regulations that John and Proo had to. Thank you for the helpful review.

Australia is undeniably a fascinating place, and Dr. Wamsley sounds like an extraordinary human for all he has done towards wildlife protection. Fantastic review.

The book title is intriguing to start with. And it is such a delight to see a book on man’s interaction with nature. John is very brave, as preserving nature and wild life can be such a daunting task. I will definitely read this any chance I get.

Nice review! I have to say that even with the depth and challenges that come with wildlife conservation, there’s something about the title, A Vanishing Kind, that [ironically] comes off kind of gentle.

I only wish there were many more of his kind in the world. Yes, conservation is a difficult thing especially when it comes up against business. A good book. It prompts me to remember, with sadness, the great Steve Irwin.
