Max Christian is a retired NYPD homicide detective who is currently living out his retirement as a Private Investigator. His wife, Meridew Hadley, is a newly elected Congresswoman who is among the new wave of women leaders sweeping across America.

This story has a great start with the newly elected Congresswomen and then it switches to the development of another set of characters that are involved with the same group that shot and killed a newly elected hispanic Congresswomen. The plot is really good but the slang the characters use is distracting and really not necessary. The murders are linked to an emerging hate group, LadyKillers Liberation Army, whose aim is to ensure women remain in their proper place as lesser beings. I would like to read this book to find out how they put this group out of business.

This sounds like an interesting book. The extremist group of Ladykillers Liberation army seems to be a group of men with outdated values of women's place. Sounds like a thrilling novel. Congrats on BOTD!!

The plot of the book is intriguing. But I am not a fan of politics. Though that may be, the crime and thrilling elements of the story seem interesting.

I also noticed the creative titling in the book. The beginning of the story gives no hint that the main title, LadyKillers, should be taken literally. So I'm not surprised to see here that suspense is a major aspect of the book.

This is indeed a hook-reader book. Suspense and tense. The relationship of Max Christian and Meridew was physically and emotionally alienated by politics. The emergence of the killer group gives highlights to the story.

The book certainly has a timely subject with a new wave female American leaders and them becoming the targets of a killer terrorist group. (If you can’t call killing female leaders to terrorize women of their country “back into their place” terrorism, what can you?) It sounds like a thrilling novel with a lot of promise.
