Haha, I was just typing a response as you typed yours.

I'm in the middle of chapter 8 and also am loving it!

The Centaurs are cool and I think the way unicorns are presented is funny. These beautiful creatures and yet not the brightest.
Haha, I agree about the unicorns. :)

Have you noticed that contrary to the other books, Regan does want to return to her world? It is a nice change. Of course, she changed her mind later.
It is a nice change, but I kind of don't blame her in wanting to stay. No one cares how she looks like or have this strange idea that girls are supposed to look a certain way. They treat her with respect. The centaurs seem to be open and caring toward Regan, and she found a good friend in Chicory (awesome name, by the way!).
It was a great place to be and I agree. :)

I liked Chicory and the rest of the tribe. They did have a strange system of mating, though...

That's a good thing since my library e-book loan expired and now I have to wait to get it back in order to finish it.

It is a bummer...should've read it faster I guess. Thank you, I also hope my turn will come soon!

How did you end up liking it?

I liked it very much and rated it 4/4 stars. I liked the Hooflands, the thought-provoking themes, the writing, and the story itself.

That's great to hear! I can't wait to continue! :)

I'm curious to see if Regan makes it back home to her parents and if she ever confronts Laurel after all this time.

She just went through the door. I'm hoping to get a bit more read today.

I absolutely hate Laurel.

Laurel is the worst! Can't imagine what her parents are like...I'm imagining that apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

So, I finally received an e-copy again and finished it pretty quickly. What an interesting ending...did you finish @Gravy? Don't want to spoil anything

Can't decide on a rating quite yet...I may be leaning toward a 3/4. :eusa-think:

Haven't finished it yet. She's just settling in with the centaurs.

Don't worry about spoiling. I'll probably just force myself to buckle down and finish it soon.

Slumping is no fun.
(Thank goodness for Seanan McGuire. I haven't been able to read basically anything else for over a year now...)
