Oh, this sounds like a fun read about pirates; it's great that it is well written too, with vivid descriptions and much suspense. Thanks for the review.

This sounds good. Though I don't enjoy reading about pirates, but I think I'll read this one. Thanks for the review!

The big question is, will Brandy be able to sail Red Witch for herself? Thank you for the review. It gave me a good overview of the book and what to look forward to. Thank you.

Reality of fate is that it can be both kind and cruel. Honestly it is more often cruel. I don't know if I want to read it or not. Congratulations on receiving book of the day honors.

This seems like an interesting tale. I would like to know what Bandy's choice was. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD selection.

What I enjoyed in this narrative was the idea that diversity should be celebrated, not demonized, that we are not responsible for the “sins of our fathers”, and that the power of love transcends all. The reference is a fabulously mischievous touch by the author. Congrats for BOTD.

This pirate tale sounds like a fantastic redemption and coming of age tale in which a teenage girl must avenge her parents and take back her father’s vessel.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

Good review. The pirate family is a unique idea. Katrina sounds like a tough woman. I am not really a fan of pirate novels so I will probably skip this one.

It’s interesting so far. I like that there’s a female perspective during that time period and it’s intriguing enough to make me want to know what else happens

:D A beautiful read. Action-filled and adventure from the start entraps the reader into the blood soaked, ravenous world of pirates and their bloody courses on the open seas. The plot twist came like an unexpected hurricane that sends the story to another dimension and weighs options for the story's future course, and opinions for the reader.

The storyline in the book sounds great. The scene of pirates, I would normally prefer in a movie but this seems perfectly described.

Brandy, Ballad of a Pirate Princess by Dan E. Hendrickson is a book about a girl who lived a big portion of her life with pirates. I like novels on pirates and mystery lands. Congratulations on #BOTD.

Pirates! And female pirate s at last. Set in the Caribbean, this work of historical fiction promises plenty of action and adventure. I can hardly wait to find out what happened to Brandy and her inheritance. Thanks for the review.
