Immigration is still a major and sensitive subject all over. War, hunger, poverty and search for greener pastures are among the reasons. I hope the anthology offers some solutions, or at least good suggestions. Great review!

The poetry primarily gives readers a glimpse into the experiences of those immigrating and migrating. As for this anthology offering solutions, my take is the solutions will come from the people who are moved by these experiences. Thank you for your thoughtful comment, RHD.

I appreciate that this book tells of the immigration experience from the immigrant's point of view. Putting those words in poetry form requires skillful writing. Thanks for your wonderful review. :tiphat:

I agree! I am amazed at how poets can paint a scene and touch the reader in so few words. It is a marvelous form of art. Thank you for your visit and your comment.

Thanks for your informative review. The group of author sure is fascinating, for it to include poets laureate, Pulitzer Prize winners, Guggenheim Fellowship recipients, and a Nobel Prize winner. While some poems are hard to perceive, it seems there are some meaningful and emotional ones that the readers can enjoy.

I must admit it was a bit daunting at first when I read the accomplishments of these poets, but ultimately, it’s the connection to the writing that matters. I found many meaningful poems in this collection. Thank you for your comment, Sou Hi!

I really enjoy reading poetry, and this collection sounds like it's right up my alley. I like the fact that the poems are written by people from all over the world as each of them brings a different perspective with their immigration experiences.

Thank you for a highly entertaining review. Great job!

I hope you decide to read this collection, Josephe-Anne. I loved that even though I may not have shared the same background as a poet, sometimes I shared the same experience.
