Official Review: I tane by John lockwood
Vengeance may not be the best response to wickedness, but it could be the best way to defend ourselves against evil men and women.
After his father's demise, Adric and his brothers were thrown out of the house by his uncle. They were taken to the orphanage by Nanny Marline. It was an emotional moment for Adric and his brothers. They promised Nanny Marline that they would never forget her.
As the story unfolds, Adric decided to learn how to be a good warrior from a man called Rasku. However, he would seek the powers of the "gods of storms and warriors" to carry out his vengeance against his enemies. Did he succeed in his adventure?
I tane was written by John Lockwood. The author has the potential of crafting an exciting plot. However, this book took me a long time to finish due to several issues. From typographical errors to the style of storytelling, the novel was not correctly executed.
The grammatical errors made it difficult to comprehend the plot. The grammatical and punctuation aspects of the book were what I disliked most. I had to rewrite the text on a note to be able to read the sentences. Unfortunately, there was nothing I liked about the book.
The first thing I found negative about this book was that it had lengthy sentences. Most of the sentences had up to seventy words. Commas and periods were not used to separate most of these sentences. As a result of this problem, it became difficult to trace where each sentence began and where it ended.
Secondly, I was displeased by the fact that punctuations were not properly used in the novel. Most paragraphs and sentences ended without periods. Likewise, the book lacked good formatting. The pages were without numbers.
Also, there was no good introduction to the book and the characters. The author’s profile was not found anywhere in the book. Most of the words in the book were misspelled. For example, the word “from” was always spelled as “form.”
These challenges affected the readability of the novel. Since this book has up to thirty errors on each page, I believe it would be reasonable not to recommend it to any audience. Therefore, I do not recommend I tane to anyone.
Consequently, I rate this book 1 out of 4 stars. My rating was because the book requires thorough editing, as it was not professionally edited.
