I'll classify the poetry here as "dark'' and as such interesting for me. To think that your review is quite detailed and explores what a reader should expect, I think I'd have to read this. Bravo.

I can feel the pain of the author just by reading your review. It seems like an inspiring book, but you must read it in a certain state of mind. Congratulations for this excellent review!

Some of the passages had nearly palpable levels of pain and trauma and self-doubt. Words can’t always begin to fully describe the journeys some souls have taken to get to where they are today. I’m grateful this author was willing to share their poetic story.

I think it's very vital to note that the author used art as a form of healing. This is art.

This sounds intense! But the best type of books is when the author is vulnerable towards his/her readers that's when the best form of art is created. But it sounds too depressing for me to read.

Well this one has loads of palpable vulnerability, so the artistic contribution is evident on every page. It definitely explores some dark themes and hard times, so I appreciate you checking it out regardless!
