Sisters share a deep bond that is able to impact on the lives of each other. It is commendable the concern sister and mom had to intervene in the life of Lisa. Great review.

It seems to me that the book will be an emotional one, or at the least, will have extremely emotional parts. Congratulations to the author for BOTD, and thanks to the official OBC reviewer for writing a detailed and insightful review.

Thank you for your great review. Two sisters and drugs is a tough book to read. Especially if you have a drug addict sister, who lost the fight and is no longer here. I want to read this book but obviously something is holding me back.

This is an interesting account of two sisters with a tough upbringing going in two separate directions. I love how they continue to help and heal each other and look back to see how their past shaped their lives. Thanks for a great review.

Told from two different points-of-view, today's BOTD is a touching memoir told by sisters who despite growing up together, took two very different paths in life. As readers walk alongside Sharon and Lisa, they will hear stories of hope, family, addiction, and recovery...stories that will stay with you long after the last page. Thank you for the beautiful review! :-)

:tiphat: I hope the family can get some intervention for Lisa, stop all the lies. Family is the only people who is there for you through tough times.

I agree with the reviewer, the book reads like it is fiction and the dual perspective is irresistible. Just from the preface I can imagine it being one of the best memoirs out there.

This books sounds like it may touch on the nature verses nurture in that two sisters with similar shared experiences grew into very different adults. It also seems to be a story showing trauma and challenges can be overcome.

Thank you for doing this review. It gave me better insight to the story as a whole. This
will be one that I will read. Because I would like to find out if Lisa was ever able to get her life straightened out. This was a great review!

This book is kind of like the movie "The Color Purple," with Whoopie Goldberg and how two sisters reconnect with each other to heal and endure with everything around them with a second chance, therefore this book is intriguing.

In Hindsight, a memoir reveals a lot about the different perspectives of two sisters about life, and their intertwined narrative seems quite interesting.

It would be interesting to read from each of the sister's point of view. They went through a lot and rose above their challenges. This seems to be a memorable read. Great review.
