This book sounds like a gripping emotional continuation of the first. I am curious to see how some with PTSD deals with being in the Navy, especially since manny service people get leave the service with such a condition. I’ll want to read the first book beforehand, but I’ll add this one to my list. Thank you for the helpful review.

I'm always interested in reading the accounts of the life of any one that served in the military, especially people like Tom Wick who had their own share of abuse and the struggles they had to go through to come out whole on the other end. Sounds like an inspiring story, much like the first book.

I found this interesting because this is part of our history. This book narrates the life and service experiences of Tom Wick and his comrades, particularly Captain Gridley, who after the Battle in Manila Bay became deathly ill.
