A story about sea voyages and one man’s struggles not to allow his traumatic childhood dictate the course of his life. This sounds like a compelling read. Great review.

Here's another volume that reveals the life and voyage adventures of the author. It seems very interesting.

Three volumes, Tom sure has a lot of adventures to share. His story teaches that people can rise above their challenges and past experiences. Kudos to you.

It's interesting that the author chooses humour to narrate his ordeal. That's an admirable quality and makes the book easier to read. I agree, however, with your rating because of it is clear how you arrived at it.

Learning that the author injected hard drugs because of the trauma he experienced would give an idea of what he went through. It was nice he included pictures to this memoir.

The culmination of Tom's life events. It's just sad that the rating on his books is descending. I hope another round of editing could make Tom's autobiography more enjoyable. Thank you for the honest review. Keep it up.

This is informative. This volume narrates the adventurous life of a navy. By reading this, I've learned that every navy or even an ordinary sailor has a longing to cross the equator and becoming a full-fledged Shellback. It looks like a fun ceremony.

Great job on your very detailed review. I had a bit of trouble reading the sample pages of this book and seeing all the initiation tasks they had to go through. I won’t be finishing the book.

The author has certainly lived a tumultuous life. I’m glad that he made it through these struggles to tell them in not just one but three volumes. The pictures sound like a welcomed addition to the work as well. Thank you for the helpful review.

This is the third book by the author in his memoir series. This would even given further details of the author's challenging life which involves issues such as PTSD and substance abuse. But because of the editing errors as mentioned in the review, one may need to wait for a revised version.
