Since I am not a fan of science fiction, I will find it hard to follow the plot. Too bad there also grammar errors. Thanks for the informative review!

I generally love time travel books and, as you said, the plotline of this one sounds like it held a lot of promise. I actually like to read the backstories of the characters in the books I'm reading although it sounds like the author could have used a different approach to better effect. My suspension of disbelief reaches probably ridiculously high levels so I don't think that would be a problem either. The use of the n- word would be more of a problem, but I would try to skim those parts. I think I'll put this one on my TBR shelf. Thanks for the informative review!!

Also, the author has a habit of giving an extensive back-story and description of each character the first time they are introduced. It made the plot lag and interrupted the action.

This is a huge pet peeve for me! Also, it possibly too alien-based for me to really enjoy.

It sucks when there are a ton of errors, but sometimes getting them out of the way early lets you enjoy and immerse yourself in the story. The character backgrounds sound a bit tedious and while I can understand why, it would definitely detract from the major plot.

Great review! I love the premise but not sure I could get past all the errors. I would hope the author gets a good editor on board and publishes again. There's another book by this author that interests me as well, but it seems similar mistakes in that one too. He's definitely got some good ideas that could be really great books! Thanks for your insight!

Yep, I really wanted this book to be better than it was.
