Love your honest and detailed review of this book. Sounds very interesting. Compelling characters, strong world-building, and alternating perspectives can be hard to perfect altogether but it seems like the author got it down.

I definitely prefer a life with frequent challenges or difficulties, rather than a quiet environment that doesn't allow you to show what you're really made of. Thank you for the review!

This book sounds interesting. I only discovered this series two days ago, but only saw the fifth part book series, it really made me confused because I did not understand where the story began. I need to start with the first book.

Yea, you should start from the first book, which is this one. Thanks for finding time to read and comment.

The most interesting part of this book for me is where the author describes the working principle of the telemage. I found it awesome. If the telephone had not been in existence, I would have said that's where the idea came from. :D

"His descriptions took my imagination on a wild ride, and it felt like I was physically witnessing the events in the book." Yes! For me high fantasy is all about world building, and it seems like Mr. Tsyz has this taken care of and then some. There are millions of fictional literature on magic and the fight between good and evil, but I believe the author's unique voice and style makes his story fresh and intriguing. Great review!
