Basketball is the high end of this story. thank you for an insightful review, although i’m not so sure if i’d be willing to go through reading the novel

This is not my kind of book. I'm a fan of romance novels so I won't be reading this one. Great review though, very informative.

I have only read one of her books, and can find myself in the comment that the pace is quite slow at the start and feels rushed in the end. It's a pity that this is again happening in this book, but that will not stop me from reading it since I like her style and I am sure I would appreciate reading how she described the tumultuous road to adulthood for adolescent girls.

I'm not a fan of basketball but the life of Kobe Bryant was a significant one. From your review, I could tell that House of Hoops is an exceptional piece. I look forward to reading from book one though. Great and informative review

I enjoyed reading your review.

I just read a sample of the book today. I was first wondering how it could be in this genre, and be about basketball. I understood a little more, the more I read. It’s interesting to see all the real-life events it deals with, such as school shootings. I might would enjoy this book, considering how much of the sample I read.

I have never encountered any of the volume of this series. On reading the review I don't think this is a good read for me. But maybe it might appeal to others.

A book on basketball and also the road to adulthood should be fun. I feel a certain sadness around the shocking exit of Gianna Bryant. The author dedicates this book to her.

House of Hoops published in 2020 and set in Sacramento offers mystery, drama, family interactions, resistance to modernization. It involves a lot of basketball which does not appeal to me. I did find the beginning rather slow going. Thanks for the insightful review.
