I also gave it 2 out of 4 stars. Partly because it was over my head but also for the poor writing. I felt like there was so much telling rather than showing throughout the book and it was drudgery to get through it for me. I had to force myself to read it. I kept telling myself that if he was a better storyteller, I may have been more engaged. I would like to see a rewrite of this book.lavkathleen wrote: ↑02 Nov 2020, 00:07 I gave it a 2 out of 4 rating. I loved the scientific aspects of it, but I wish I understood it more. I think the author could widen his audience by explaining it better, maybe with less technical terms. I'd recommend this to my friends who are knowledgeable about physics. I think they'd appreciate the way the author puts the works of prominent physicists in a new light, and shows the possibilities of time travel.

Those kind of speculations are actually what I love. That explains why I enjoyed the book so much. I was surprised to see that you rated this book anything less than a perfect score. However, as I read down your comment, I understood why. I really enjoyed reading the book and would highly recommend it to anyone whoves science fictions.NetMassimo wrote: ↑01 Nov 2020, 10:20 I gave it 3 out of 4 stars. It's good, but far from perfect. My impression is that the author used speculations based on quantum physics to develop reflections that are more philosophical and existential. I mean, there are discussions between Ron and Regina about the nature of time and its consequences that go beyond science. Towards the end (here's a little spoiler) there's a discussion about what could happen if you go timey-wimey and try to change the future and all that happens then that go well beyond our scientific knowledge. I'd recommend it to people who like this kind of speculations, certainly not to people interested in action-packed stories.

I understand your plight. If I wasn't science inclined, it would have been frustrating for me too to read this book. The author could have simplified some things, as you said. This would have made it easier for a lot of readers.Aisha_123 wrote: ↑26 Nov 2020, 10:06 I rated it a 3 out of 4 stars. The theories were mentally tasking as I do not know a thing about quantum physics. I felt the author should have simplified them. Regardless, I still enjoyed the plot. Ron is a thought-provoking character. I wondered all through the kind of person he is. I also liked the ironic ending. Overall, the book was okay.

Glad to see another reader that rated this book four out of four stars too. The author is grounded in quantum physics and this is evident by how he clearly discussed them in this book. I enjoyed reading every bit of this book.

It will be significantly difficult for any reader who is not science inclined to fully enjoy this book, especially those who haven't read much on physics. I think that reading more science fiction will definitely help.Swirliegirlie wrote: ↑29 Nov 2020, 17:16 I gave this book a 3 out of 4 rating. I found the story and concepts mentioned very interesting but myself could not follow all of the science explained well. Some ideas are easier than others to understand and maybe someone who has a background in physics would be able to follow the ideas a bit better. Overall i found it a very intriguing story and loved how much it made me think outside my normal ideas and way of thinking. I highly recommend this book!
